The role
This is a fantastic role for a Business Development Manager who is focused on a role which will directly impact the growth of this organisation. Ultimately this individual will lead the sales initiatives and focus on securing new logo clients in the renewable energy sector. This role is suited for someone proactive, results-oriented, and equipped with an understanding of the renewable energy market and grid complexities.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage potential clients in the renewable energy sector through both inbound and outbound leads.
- Develop and execute sales strategies aimed at securing new business, prioritising relationship building over transactional sales.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure, aligning with the fast-paced nature of the market.
- Represent the company at industry conferences and client meetings
- Work in tandem with the Account Management team to ensure a seamless onboarding of new clients.
Essential Skills and Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
- Demonstrated prowess in building strong, trust-based client relationships.
- Competence in autonomous working and managing a remote work setup.
- Understanding of the renewable energy market and grid operations.
- Proven record of meeting sales targets and fostering business growth.
- Right to work in UK and well-spoken or native-level English proficiency.
Desired Qualifications
A relevant degree is favourable but not mandatory, provided there is significant knowledge or experience working with renewable energy and grid systems.
