Structural Engineer, Associate
Cala Consulting are recruiting an Structural Engineer for their client. The company are an independent consulting engineering practice providing a wide range of Civil, Structural and Fire Engineering services across the UK and Ireland.

Working with the public and private sector this is a hands-on position where you will be working directly on design delivery and project management, whilst also mentoring the team of Engineers. The role & skills required:
The Structural Engineer will take responsibility for leading and delivering projects from concept through to completion. The successful candidate will be expected to:
• Undertake detailed structural design and analysis of buildings and civil engineering structures
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings and specifications
• Carry out structural inspections, surveys and reports for clients
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and other stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes of practice and standards
• Mentor and support graduate/junior engineers within the team
• Participate in site visits, inspections and project meetings
Experience and qualifications:
• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (MEng or equivalent)
• Chartered Engineer
• Relevant structural engineering experience
• Strong technical knowledge across concrete, steel, timber and masonry design
• Proficient in structural design software and 3D modelling (AutoCAD)
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Strong project management capability with ability to deliver to deadlines
